It's time to feel respected, validated and empowered.
Do you feel anxious, stuck, burnt out, or overwhelmed?
Maybe you've noticed it's becoming harder to be caring or respond to others in healthy ways.
Sometimes you don't recognize yourself or your world. You might feel as if you need to be ten steps ahead of where you are right now and you can’t see a clear way forward.
I work primarily with adults who are struggling with trauma, fatigue, chronic illness or pain to work towards healing, wellness and meaningful connected relationships.
My name is Jennifer Hrstic, Counsellor and Family Therapist. I'm Canadian, born and raised in Calgary on Treaty 7 land.
I am a compassionate, genuine and warm counsellor. I use a holistic and individualized approach throughout the therapeutic process to accommodate each client’s unique experience, needs, and goals for therapy.
I offer in person and online therapy to help people find joy, self-compassion, and confidence.
Together, we can explore and process your thoughts and feelings so you can navigate what's happening now and gain traction on where you want to go. You can learn skills and gain tools that will help you manage stress, build coping strategies, and maximize your well-being.
I specialize in helping caregivers, first responders, and other helping professionals who are struggling with compassion fatigue, burnout, or occupational stress to reconnect with themselves, their lives, and their relationships.
I also work extensively with teens, focusing on issues such as anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem. I integrate art techniques into my therapy, providing an alternative to traditional talk therapy. Art can be especially effective for processing emotions in youth and young adults. While my approach is excellent for children and teens, it is also beneficial for mature adults. Additionally, I support families impacted by child welfare including bio families, kinship, adoption, and foster care.
I practice from a strength-based, trauma-informed relational approach. I love to help clients experiment and experience new things in session. I aim to provide safe, non-judgmental support so you can reach your goals, heal from trauma, increase wellness, and have healthier relationships in your life. You can learn to trust your instincts and judgment, be comfortable with your feelings, and know that when a problem arises, you can handle it.
