The world is not color-blind.

Many people of color have faced additional stress in Alberta because of their culture or the color of their skin.

Sometimes it's hard to talk about mental health or emotions when it's not a common part of your culture or heritage.

Going to counselling doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. You are not broken. You are not weak. Therapy is one way to make your life a little better. We will work with you, with your beliefs, and with your culture and identity.

Maybe you or your family are dealing with:

  • Feeling isolated, blamed, or afraid

  • Exhaustion from fighting or defending yourself

  • Conforming in toxic situations or relationships

  • Racial trauma or discrimination in social, educational, or work environments

  • Immigration and adjusting to new cultures

  • Ongoing threat or trauma

We're here to support you.

Therapy Alberta provides culturally sensitive online counselling and therapy for individuals, partners, and families from diverse backgrounds.

Your ethnicity is one part of your identity. Your whole story matters. We're listening and we want to help.

When you connect well with a counsellor, you feel more at ease and hopeful.

Black Woman in Online Counselling Calgary & Alberta.webp

You can connect to a therapist anywhere in the province of Alberta.

The best therapist to meet the needs of your relationship might live in a different area. We love online therapy because it's convenient and flexible, especially for busy adults, teens and families.

Online counselling is covered by private insurance, and you may even find it's easier to connect online.

There's no commute, waiting room, or bumping into others. You are familiar with your environment, and have all your favorite comforts within reach.

We offer online video and phone therapy for BIPOC individuals, couples and families in Calgary and across Alberta. All you need is a phone, or for a video session, a device, internet, and a quiet place to talk. Some people choose their bedroom, office, dining room, living room, or a friend's place. Family members can be in the same of different spaces.

We're here for you and happy to meet wherever you are comfortable. We offer evening and weekend appointments to fit your lifestyle.

Our compassionate counsellors want you to love yourself and the skin you're in, and hopefully like your therapist too.

We get it. We see all parts of you.

Our BIPOC therapists are the kind of people who want to join your journey and help you find safety and healing.
